Vgep: A Tool for Essential Genome Prediction of Virus

Vgep combines Orthology alignment (via Geptop2.0) and SVM classification (k-mer frequency) to predict gene essentiality. Scores range from 0 to 1.

Note: Processing 500 sequences takes approximately 3 minutes.

Prediction Cutoff (Threshold):

Genes with scores equal to or higher than this cutoff are predicted as essential. Default is 0.20.
